ROLE : ANIMATION DIRECTION
In 2024, I worked closely with the artist Spooky Woods to bring his clay characters to life through animation. Together, we created a series of teaser videos for social media that built excitement around upcoming art collections, offering quick glimpses into this world. I also helped expand the Spooky Woods character library by 3D modeling the cast and preparing them for future projects.

3D MODELING
Before starting the teaser animations, the current cast of Spooky Woods characters needed to be recreated in 3D. Using reference photos of the original clay models, I modeled each character to stay true to their proportions, colors, and features. I focused on clean, simple topology to ensure a smooth rigging and animation process. In total, we created 10 different characters for the series of animations.
ANIMATION
For the animations, we experimented with animating on 2s, 3s, and 4s. This gave the motion a more handmade, imperfect feel, making it less computer-like and closer to the stop-motion style that’s so key to Spooky Woods’ clay characters.
Visuals created for social media & website animations were also used as artwork for various limited-edition Spooky Woods Zines.
