ILLUSTRATED ICONS
CLIENT: DISCORD / ROLE: ILLUSTRATION
In 2025, I collaborated with Discord to expand and develop their illustrated icon library. These icons were designed to be flexible across many platforms, appearing on Discord’s website, support pages, in-app, and in other future uses.
I followed Discord’s established illustration guidelines to keep everything consistent with the illustrations already in their library. It was exciting to take each concept they provided and come up with creative, gaming-inspired ways to bring it to life!

PROCESS
For some of the illustrations, I found it helpful to build a rough 3D model first in Cinema 4d. This allowed me to quickly explore different angles and perspectives. I would then use the 3D render as a base to draw over, giving me a solid structure for the final sketch. Once the design was approved, I moved into Adobe Illustrator to begin blocking in the base colors and then adding detail and lighting as needed.
